A Replacement for the Permacel P-99 Adhesion Tape: Lab Report & Video
The manufacturer of Permacel P-99 Pressure Sensitive Tape used to comply with ASTM D3389 method B for cross hatch inspections recently announced that production has been discontinued. Elcometer has produced a replacement tape that closely replicates the performance of the P-99 tape and engaged an independent laboratory to perform a study comparing the peel adhesion properties of the Elcometer 99 Pressure Sensitive Tape versus the Permacel P-99 and other proposed replacement tapes.
